My avid and loyal readers, and by that I mean my boyfriend and his brother, have been clamoring for another installment of my chronicled adventures.
Quite a bit, but really not that much, has happened since I went to the Muiderslot.
OH! I fell in love. Yes, madly in love. In the wonderful city of Gouda. With poffertjes. For those of you non-Dutchies those are little teeny tiny mini pancakes made of unicorn glitter and fairy dust, with powdered sugar on top. No joke these could easily top my Dutch Kit-Kat obsession. The only problem is that they’re pretty hard to find. And to find the market stall kind that are made fresh by a wizard right in front of you, even harder. I would have taken a picture of them but I seriously ate them faster than they could make them. So no pictures. But just imagine little pancakes the size of a half dollar coin, made of magic and everything that is good in this world, and you get the idea.
Other than that I’ve just been doing a ridiculous amount of Duolingo, and getting no closer to being able to actually comfortably say anything. And writing letters back home to some family and friends, because I LOVE snail mail. Serio.
I can’t think of anything else interesting, so I’ll just leave you with some photos I’ve taken around the city.
