On our way to Bruges we had a stopover at Liège, where we had to get off and switch trains. It was here that I got my first taste of Belgium. Marcel made an assessment of the country that they were 50 years behind. That’s not true really. They’re only about 8 years behind.
At the station I saw a girl rocking a 3G/3GS. The first iPhone I ever bought… seven years ago.
On the train from Liège to Bruges, I saw a dude rocking what appeared to be an iPod Mini. Remember those? Not many do.
Also, remember that scene in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, where he’s on the Zeppelin and he throws a guy out the window then says, “No ticket.” That pretty much just happened now. Except he didn’t throw him out the window (boo), he just gave the guy a rather stern French-accented scolding. And I have to say, I don’t know if I was terrified or mesmerized by that.
