I keep telling Marcel that it doesn’t feel real. And it really doesn’t. It feels completely surreal knowing that in just over a week I will be living in a different country. Not visiting, not passing through, like for realsies living in a different country. Trippy, right?
I have some stuff lined up once I get there, such as a much needed intensive course on Dutch. It’s two months long and should hopefully significantly improve my language skills.
For those of you that I did’t get to see before I left (Patricia I’m sorry!) I will be back to visit often, promise. In fact I’m coming back end of June/early July to have the families meet. I’m pretty excited for that. My in-laws have never been to the United States, so hopefully we can show them that it doesn’t suck that much.
Then after that American trip comes the cool part. The trip to London! For a Star Wars convention!!! I know right, you’re totes jealous. I get it, I’d be jealous too. But don’t worry, I’ll post plenty of pictures of Wookiees and R2-D2’s for all of you to enjoy.
I still have pretty much ALL my packing to do, and I have to pack and ship at least one box. Time is running out quicker than I imagined. So I’m telling myself now that tomorrow I’m going to sort my stuff and pack my box. This is my public to-do reminder to do that. ☑️
I’ll probably post once more next week from the airport. IF I still have service that is. I need to cancel my cell phone service and I’m hoping they’ll be able to cancel it the day after I leave so I can still text and post from LAX.
Well guys, I’m almost there! I can’t believe it! But it’s true!
And for those of you who actually read my blog, thank you. I know blogs can be pretty obnoxious, and I don’t know if mine is or not, but thanks anyway.
